Community Decision Support

At TReSI we conduct research that assesses the impact of both interventions for families with very young children where there is vulnerability to poorer outcomes, and also service system change which aims to improve families' access to an integrated network of support.

Through this dual process of individual intervention and system change, the TReSI early childhood research program seeks to address the social gradient in outcomes for families at the population level through a 'ripple effect' on the whole child and family service system.

Our research applies an ecological framework, recognising that the health, development and wellbeing of children is the product of complex interacting factors at the individual, family and community level. (Bronfenbrenner, 1977)

Our research program includes developing interventions and strategies to support the communities in which children live to support families to achieve the best outcomes.
